Draft Writing Mode

A new dedicated mode lets the AI write your first draft. Select "Draft Mode" in the chat to have the AI continue your story from where you left off, automatically picking up from the latest episode. You can also start drafting straight from the editor's command bar without breaking your writing flow.

Review and Approve AI Suggestions

When AI proposes changes to your characters or story settings, additions, updates, and deletions appear as proposal cards — review them and tap the approve button to apply, or simply ignore what you don't want.

Visual Change Comparison for Updates

When AI suggests editing an existing piece of information, you can now see exactly what's different. Changed parts are highlighted so you can compare the current and proposed values side by side before deciding.

Story & Character Reset

You can now reset your entire story plan or a specific character's settings through the AI conversation. When you want to start fresh with a new direction, the AI can propose a clean slate for you to approve.

Improvements & Fixes

Character Pronouns

Character profiles now include a "Pronouns" field in basic info. Set pronouns like he, she, or they so the AI refers to your characters accurately when writing.

Ask the AI About Typetak Features

Questions like "How do I use this feature?" or "What are chat modes?" now get accurate answers based on official Typetak documentation. No more guessing.

More Natural AI Responses

The AI now writes in a more natural, human-like tone. Stiff, formulaic phrases like "Certainly!" or "Great question!" have been reduced.

Chat Resets on Project Switch

Switching to a different project now properly clears the previous conversation. No more leftover messages from another project appearing in your chat.

Better Character Card Sorting

Character detail cards with the same category now sort by creation date, so recently added information always appears at the top.

Faster Character Updates

Character information saved during AI conversations now appears on the character page more quickly.

Minor Adjustments

• Creating a new project now opens the chat panel more reliably
• Improved stability in AI response display — responses render correctly even when AI uses varied formatting
• When the AI can't find a requested episode, it now tells you instead of making up content
