Getting Started
TypeTak is an AI writing system that holds your work's lore and tone together. It is not a tool for producing more text — it is built to keep your lore and writing style from falling apart as the writing grows.
- How far it goes — Start from an idea, write the draft, revise it, and organize your lore and research, all in one place.
- What it protects — The World keeps lore and facts consistent, the Writing Style keeps the tone consistent. In a novel that means characters and worldbuilding; in non-fiction it means terminology and sources.
- What changes because of it — You finish long, complicated writing without leaning on your memory or scattered notes, and without worrying that the lore will drift.
Creating a Space
The Home screen shows the Spaces you have made as cards, with an idea field along the bottom. There are three ways to start.
- Start from an idea: Write the idea or subject you want to work on in the field below and press New Space. TypeTak builds a Space around that idea and opens a planning conversation.
- Start from a manuscript you have written: Upload a file you already have.
- Start an empty Space: Begin with nothing.
When you create a Space you also pick a manuscript type — None, Novel, or Web novel. The manuscript type becomes the preset for that Space's Writing Style and sets the default craft rules the AI follows.
Understanding the screen
The Workspace has three main areas.
- Sidebar: the World, Manuscript, and Documents areas, plus Writing Style, Guidance, Skills, Memo, Archive, and the list of agent conversations.
- Editor in the middle: pick a page and write here.
- Right Panel: talk to the agent. You can resize the panel.
You can also open two pages side by side, one left and one right. History and Comments open the same way, as a panel beside the body text.
Choosing the interface language
TypeTak's screens come in ten languages — Korean, English, Japanese, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Polish, Traditional Chinese, and Italian. Out of the box the interface follows your System language; to fix it to one instead, pick it under Display language at the top of Settings > Display. The Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy open in the language you are using.
This is the language of the screen. What language the agent answers in is separate — set that under Preferred response language in Settings > AI.
