Customization

Fit the screen colors, the language, and how the sidebar shows your work to you. These settings apply across every Space.

Choosing a theme color

Choose the color of the screen under Theme color in Settings > Display. The palette holds light and dark colors. To write on a dark screen, pick one of the dark ones — that is how dark mode works in TypeTak.

The theme color is saved in the browser where you pick it, so another browser or device starts on the default white.

Choosing the interface language

TypeTak's screens come in ten languages — Korean, English, Japanese, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Polish, Traditional Chinese, and Italian. Out of the box the interface follows your System language; to fix it to one instead, pick it under Display language at the top of Settings > Display. The Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy open in the language you are using.

This is the language of the screen. What language the agent answers in is separate — set that under Preferred response language in Settings > AI. Left on Auto, the default, the agent answers in the language you write to it in; pick a language and it always answers in that one.

Arranging the sidebar

The Sidebar group in Settings > Display sets how the sidebar lists your work.

  • Document order · Manuscript tab order · World node order: Each list keeps its own order. Documents and World nodes go by Default or Recently updated; the Manuscript goes By number, By number (reverse), or Recently updated.
  • Document & manuscript items · World node types · World nodes: How many entries each list shows — 5 items, 10 items, or Hidden.
  • Sidebar background: On, the sidebar has a background color of its own; off, a border alone sets it apart.
  • World node type colors: Shows each World node type in its own color in the sidebar.
