Manuscript & Documents
The group that covers the Page — the unit your writing lives in.
- A page is a document by default. Writing outside the story, like research and setting, lives here. When you create a page in Documents you choose its kind, and a Canvas is the kind you organize by visual layout instead of text.
- Pages that make up the story are assigned to a Manuscript. An assigned page becomes a numbered chapter. Assign a Writing Style to a manuscript and that fixes its tone.

Manuscript
A Manuscript is the unit that holds one story or one series. A Space stores several manuscripts. Manuscripts are managed in the Manuscript area of the left sidebar. Create a new one from the manuscript picker at the top of that area, giving it a name and a Writing Style as you go.
Documents
Documents is where writing that does not belong to the Manuscript lives — setting bibles, plot notes, reference material.
Canvas
A Canvas is where you organize the pieces of your work visually. Character relationships, plot flow, scene order — laid out so you take them in at a glance.
Writing Style
Tone and texture differ from manuscript to manuscript, so a Writing Style is assigned per manuscript. The agent's tools follow that style when they edit or write a page — drafting in Outline & drafting and Editing in Subagent tools both read the style assigned to the manuscript and write to it. A manuscript has one Writing Style, and one style can be shared by several manuscripts. Each Writing Style has a preset — Novel, Web novel, or unset — that sets the built-in craft rules it starts from. The agent can read the style out of your own writing and write it for you.
