Manuscript & Documents

The group that covers the Page — the unit your writing lives in. Where a page is saved depends on which of the two sidebar tabs you create it in: Manuscript or Documents.

• The Manuscript tab holds the story. A page you create there goes into a numbered chapter of the manuscript. Assign a Writing Style to a manuscript and that sets its style.
• The Documents tab holds writing outside the story — research, lore, planning — organized in folders. When you create a page there you choose its kind, and a Canvas is the kind where you lay out cards and connectors freely to draw relationship maps and flowcharts.

To move a page afterwards, choose Move › Manuscript or Move › Document in its ⋯ menu. For the screen where you open a page and write, see Page editor.
