Documents
Documents is where writing that does not belong to the Manuscript lives — setting bibles, plot notes, reference material.
Creating pages in Documents
Create them from the Add menu in the Documents area. The same menu sits in the header of the full-screen Documents table.
- Page: Creates an empty document page.
- Table template: Pick Synopsis, Treatment, Length plan, Foreshadowing tracker, Weekly plan, or Basic table, and start from a page with the table already filled in.
- Canvas: Creates a page you organize by visual layout. (See Canvas.)
- Folder: Creates a folder to hold pages.
- From file: Upload a file and bring it in as a document. (See Importing.)
Organizing with folders
Keep related pages together in a folder. Folders work in both the Manuscript and Documents. Drag a page in or out of a folder, or take it out with Move out in the page's ⋯ menu.
Sorting
The sort button above the Documents list changes the sort order or clears it. The default order is set under Document sorting — by number, by number descending, by update, or default — in Settings > Display.
View all
Press All in the sidebar to open Documents as a page list on one screen, title and date to a row. The Manuscript works the same way. Use it to scan everything at once, or to select several pages and move, delete, or export them together.
