The AI colleague you talk to in the Right Panel. It works through core tools that read and search pages and the World on its own, and through subagent tools dedicated to jobs like drafting, Editing, and Proofreading. Anything that changes your work goes through approval permission. Guidance and Skills tune how it works.

Chat
You talk to the agent in the Right Panel. Get suggestions for plot or setting, discuss where to go next, and work through the places you are stuck. The agent knows the screen you are on and the context of the Space, so its answers fit your work. It reads the Manuscript when it needs to, organizes the World, and hands jobs like Novel Writing, Editing, and Proofreading to subagents. Characters, places, and settings are filed into the World as nodes out of this conversation too. The World starts empty, and the agent creates the types it needs as it goes. So the answers come back with your context already in them, and you never explain the setting twice.
Approval permission
The agent files the characters, settings, and writing style it picks up in conversation into the World, the Writing Style, and Guidance. (Other items, such as the World Editing Rules, are organized the same way.) Under Edit permission in the input box, choose between "Ask for approval" and "Proceed automatically". With Ask for approval, everything that changes your work appears as a card first, and you approve or reject it. When the agent finds something worth organizing, it can offer an Update button in its reply. Press it and it writes what you just discussed into the World, the Writing Style, Guidance, and the World Editing Rules.
Core agent tools
The agent does more than talk — it has tools that read and write the contents of your Space directly. Subagent tools
Drafting, Editing, Proofreading, World organizing, and system document writing are handed to subagents, each dedicated to its own job. Start one from an editor button or a chat request, and the subagent shows what it produced as a proposal. Because results do not drop straight into the manuscript, writing that misses your intent never piles up.
Outline & drafting
Before a draft is written, the outline tool (page_outline) builds a draft plan, puts it up as a card, and the agent waits for approval. This tool only plans — it writes not one word of prose. Two things on the card are editable. Outline: One item is one stretch of the draft. The first line of an item is what happens in that stretch; the bullets under it are how to write it. Length: The target length. When the request does not set one, it follows the reference length written into that manuscript's Writing Style. If the plan is not right, ask for changes — the agent does not draw up a second plan, it edits the same card. Approve it once edited and the draft is written exactly as approved.
Guidance
If the World is where the world of your work is organized, Guidance is where you tune how the agent works. It shares the same data structure as the World, but it runs separately from your work's setting. So a preference you set once holds as you move from Space to Space. The agent records your preferences, your repeated requests, and the context of your work into Guidance, and works from them. ("Always keep dialogue short", "don't summarize, keep writing", and the like.) It is a global user document that applies across every Space. It is recorded automatically during conversations, following your Edit permission setting, and you can write or edit it yourself. Open it from the sidebar.
Skills
Turn the work you do often into a Skill and run it in one step. A Skill carries a name, a task (the prompt handed to the agent), and an agent trigger (the condition for running it automatically), and if a step has to run first, a prerequisite prompt goes with it. The Skills you build are managed in the "My Skills" list.
