Building your own Skills

A Skill is a request you make often, saved so you can use it again. Call one up in the chat, or fill in its trigger and the agent runs it on its own. A Skill has three fields: Skill for its icon and name, Agent trigger for when it runs, and Prompt for the instructions handed to the agent. Manage the Skills you build in My skills.

Three ways to run one

• Pick it with “/”: Type “/” in the chat input box and the Skill list appears; pick one and it runs.
• Call it by name: Say a Skill's name in conversation and that Skill runs.
• Run it automatically: Give a Skill an Agent trigger (“when the user asks for …”) and the agent runs it on its own once that condition is met in conversation.

When you call a Skill by name or it runs automatically, the agent first reads its Prompt (skill_read) and follows it.

Try it, then share through the Gallery

Check a Skill's output with Try before you apply it. Browse the Skills other users have published in the Gallery and pull them into your list, or publish your own to the Gallery. Open a Gallery Skill to read its Prompt — the instructions it hands the agent — before you Import it. A Skill you pulled in can be edited to suit you, and you can duplicate an existing Skill to make a variant. To remove a Skill you no longer use, choose Delete from the ⋯ menu on its card in My skills.
