Board type

A Board type is a node type that lays nodes out as cards, arranged in groups and in order. It suits things where order matters more than relations — a plot outline, a scene list, a timeline. Press All on the node type in the sidebar to see the board; the button at the top switches to the table.

Groups and order

Cards sit in order inside named groups. Drag a card to change its group and place; the number on its first line (for example 2-3) shows where it sits. Cards without a number collect under No order yet at the bottom of the group. Set number in a card's ⋯ gives it the group's next number, and Clear number takes it away. A group's ⋯ has the same two rows. Board cards also serve as the points where other nodes' spans start and end. (Node types & slots)

Cards

A card shows its number and name, with a few property rows below. Pick the properties under View › Cards in the ⋯ at the top; without a pick, the node relation properties show. A card's ⋯ is the same menu as the ⋯ at the top of the node's screen: rename, numbering, pin, slots, share, export, and delete. Sharing a single card is covered in Sharing the World. A pinned card shows a pin left of its number and keeps its place in the order. Press a card to go to the node's screen.

Table view

A two-level table: groups as top rows, their cards as indented rows — the same shape as the manuscript table's chapters and pages. Set the columns under View › Table, and select several nodes to pin or delete them at once.
