Sharing the World

Share your World and visitors browse your characters, places, and lore as cards and a graph, and press nodes to read them. Share the whole World or a single node, and keep hidden whatever you don't want seen.

Sharing the whole World

In the Public group of Settings > Space, set Default world sharing to Everyone or Link only, and every node of your World follows it. Public space has to be on to share the whole World. (Public space)

Sharing a single node

Press ⋯ next to a node and pick for that node alone under Share ›. It is the same menu wherever you press ⋯ — the node's screen, the sidebar, a table, a card, or a card on a board. Send the node's link with Copy link in the same menu. Whoever opens that link starts at that node and can see the nodes of this World shared as Link only or Everyone, and the manuscript pages shared as Everyone. Manuscript pages set to Link only stay closed to them.

Nodes and types you don't share

Set a node you don't want seen to Not shared under Share ›. To hide a whole type, press Set up on Unshared world types in the Public group and hide that type. Hidden nodes and the nodes of a hidden type don't appear in the World graph, the type cards and tables, or the board's columns. When one is related to a node you share, though, its name shows in that node's relation rows, its small graph, and its board cards. Pressing the name opens nothing, so its properties and sections stay unseen. To keep even the name out, remove that relation from the shared node.

What visitors see in a shared World

The World's graph and type cards follow below the first screen. The graph draws only the nodes and relations visitors can see, and pressing a type card shows that type's nodes as cards. The cards show the properties you picked in View › Cards, and a Board type shows as a board. Pressing a node opens its properties and sections to read, and a small graph shows how it connects to other nodes. A node that isn't shared shows only as a name and doesn't open. Visitors can't change anything.
