Q: Are there keyboard shortcuts?

Yes. Under **Editor shortcuts** in **Settings > Editor**, assign key combinations to **Ask**, **Rephrase**, and **Add comment**, and call them without opening the menu. Leave one on "None" and it stays menu-only. Reuse a combination that is already assigned and TypeTak tells you which action loses its shortcut.

Put the cursor in text and a round trigger appears; press it and the cursor menu opens right there. It applies to the sentence the cursor sits in, or to the range you select. The menu always appears.

Rephrase

Writes the same meaning as a different sentence. Several candidates come back — pick one and it replaces the original on the spot. Press the arrow (reload) for a fresh set, and keep flipping until the one you want shows up.

Enhance (expand)

Open the arrow (expand) in the menu and the tools that make a sentence more of itself appear. They fall into three groups by what they change.

Prose

Flair & Impact: Adds impact and personality to the sentence.
Enrich: Makes the phrasing fuller.
Imagery Boost: Adds sensory language and metaphor.

Scene

Sceneify: Turns summarized narration into a live scene.
Dialogue: Puts a character's dialogue between passages of narration.
Inner Voice: Adds what the character is feeling inside.
Background: Fills out the setting and the surroundings.

Length

Write On: Carries on from where the cursor sits.
Simplify: Strips the padding and tightens it.

Here too several sentences are proposed, and only the one you pick is applied.

Ask

Ask the agent about the content of your work. Select text and press Ask, and that passage is quoted into the chat, where the answer comes back. Ask anything — where the plot should go, why a character acts as they do, whether something lines up with an earlier chapter.
