Section progression
Characters change as the story moves on. Section progression stacks those changes under the character's write-up, one line each in chapter order, so at any point you can see where they've been and where they stand now.
Say it's the Personality section for Vincent. The write-up keeps only the lore — “quiet and loyal” — and the progression below builds up like this:
- 03 Quits hunting and leaves the village.
- 07 Learns that Raon is his older brother.
Adding an entry
- Press Add progression (the stairs icon) at the end of the section's title row.
- In the list that opens under the section text, press New entry and write one line.
Keep each entry to one change. To remove one, choose Delete in its ⋯.
You don't have to write them yourself. Run Organize World and what a character becomes, gains, loses, or learns in each chapter builds up here on its own.
Going back to that chapter
When you wonder “which chapter was that?”, press the number in front of the entry ( 03). The Source panel shows the pages, cards, and conversations it came from; press a name to open it.
To add a number yourself, tick pages or cards under New source in the panel. Linking a page moves the entry to its place in story order.
Having the agent fix it
- “Fix the chapter 3 entry in Vincent's progression” — changes only that entry.
- “Move the plot mixed into the Personality section into its progression” — moves events out of the write-up into entries.
Rolling back
A section's History shows progression changes alongside the text, and restoring brings both back together.
- With more than seven entries, use the arrows at the end of the Progression N row to page through them seven at a time. Press Progression N to fold the list.
- Organize World doesn't write a change twice, and keeps entries in story order even when chapters are organized out of order. Organize an edited chapter again and the entries from that page are updated.
- Progression is only on World nodes, not on Writing Style or board card sections.
