Feedback

Two buttons for checking your writing sit side by side in the editor toolbar — Proofreading and Feedback. This page covers Feedback. For Proofreading, which checks spelling, grammar, and awkward phrasing, see Spell check.

Get feedback

Press the Feedback button and the agent reviews the strengths and weaknesses of your writing and whether anything contradicts the lore saved in the World, and points out specific improvements. It focuses on what you have on screen and draws on the World nodes related to the writing. The answer comes back in chat, in six parts: Overall impression, Evaluation by aspect, Strengths, Weaknesses, Consistency, and Suggested edits.

  • Evaluation by aspect: Scores each aspect out of 5, with a comment on why. The aspects are drawn from the Writing Style assigned to the manuscript and from the passage itself, so they follow the work in front of it.
  • Consistency: Checks the passage against the World nodes it touches, against its own timeline and logic, and against the rules the Writing Style sets.
  • Suggested edits: Gives the direction of a change — what to cut, reorder, or restructure — and leaves sentence-by-sentence rewrites to Revision.

Notes on particular sentences can appear in place in the editor as Revision suggestions. Whether toolbar Feedback places them is the Page revision on feedback switch in Settings > Agent, which is on by default. Feedback starts only from this toolbar button.
