Autosave
When the connection drops mid-sentence, the first worry is the paragraph you just wrote. Autosave saves the page as you write, and keeps any changes it couldn't send in this browser until the connection comes back, then sends them.
Checking for unsent changes
While there are changes that haven't reached the server, a warning icon shows next to the page's name at the top of the page. When the connection comes back, the kept changes are sent on their own and the icon goes away.
Even if you closed the window in the meantime, the kept changes come back when you open the page again in the same browser.
Choosing when the server's version differs
If the page was changed somewhere else while you were offline, a notice says the content differs from the page saved on the server.
- To see the other side, press Load. It brings in the version that isn't on screen.
- To keep what's on screen, press .
Retrying when saving fails
If saving fails while you're online, a notice appears with Retry and . Press Retry to send your changes again.
- Load brings in the server's version if your changes are on screen, and your kept changes if the server's version is on screen.
- The on the save-failed notice drops your changes and loads the version on the server.
- If the browser can't keep your changes, a notice tells you so. In that case, closing the window loses them.
