Page editor
The screen where you open a page and write. Formatting and search are in the toolbar, and this section also covers comments, History, and the view options that change your screen. For the AI tools that rewrite sentences, see Revision; for where a page lives and how it is organized, see Manuscript & Documents.

- FormattingSet the look of a page from the toolbar — fonts, sizes, colors, alignment, lists, and tables.
- CommentsPin a thought to the passage that needs work, keep it going in replies, and resolve it once it's fixed.
- History & RestoreCompare earlier versions of a page with what you have now, and go back to the one you like.
- AutosaveYour page saves as you write, and changes that couldn't be sent while offline are kept in the browser and sent again.
- Find and replaceFind a word wherever it's scattered across a page, and replace it one match at a time or all at once.
- SearchLook through all your Documents, Manuscripts, and canvases at once, and go straight to the page with the passage you want.
- Word count and character countSee the length of the page you're writing, its chapter, and the whole manuscript below the editor in characters, words, or manuscript pages, and ask the agent for the length of several chapters together.
- GoalsSet how much to write each day and length goals for a chapter or manuscript, and see what you wrote today below the editor.
- Editor utilitiesMove around even the longest page as one document, and even out paragraph spacing across the whole page at once.
- Continuous viewJoin a manuscript's pages in reading order, so you read and edit them in one scroll without going back to the sidebar.
- Typewriter modeKeep the line you're writing at the middle of the screen, so your eyes stay in one place however long you write.
- Split viewOpen two panes side by side and write with your World or an earlier chapter in view.
- Screen settingsClear what you don't need off the writing screen, and fit width, color, font size, and motion to your eyes.
